Sandman Records | Copywriting + Editing + Desktop Publishing

I produced the CD package for this 2009 Grammy Award nominee album by Lanny Sherwin and Sandman Records of Santa Barbara, California.

Along with layout design and typography (including the cover logo) and all pre-production, I also edited and provided additional copy to existing content.

The cover illustration was painted by none other than my father, illustrator Theo Rudnak (with an obvious nod to Mr. Salvador Dalí for the concept!).

This project was a return to our roots for both of us, on many levels. In addition to being the first project on which we have collaborated on since working together on many others in previous years, it was his first illustration in quite some time (he has since transitioned into fine arts and non-commercial work).

For me, it was my first significant desktop publishing project since producing the San Mateo County Medical Association‘s 2008 Membership Directory and Desk Reference.

Although I fully enjoy my work in online communications, it was fun to produce something that required printing and resulted in a physical product.
